A Quiet Christmas Eve

May God Bless you and your family on this beautiful Christmas Eve - (which would be perfect if snow was lightly falling as we come out of church! ) :)

My Christmas Box

I took a Tim Holtz Configuration Box that I got at The Scrapbooking Studio along with Christmas paper I had and some I bought at The Studio, and made this box. I also used some carolers, a snowman, a nativity and a boy sledding that I got from the dollar store! The tree is also a Tim Holtz tree from the Studio.

I backed the areas with paper and then layered in what I had. I used my Slice to cut out the stockings.

I put a small piece of white felt under the boy- wadded up- and then glittered the heck out of it!

I really like how it turned out! Now I want to make another one with some different dollar store people. This was all that was left when I picked these up.

Advent Calendar

I made this Advent Calendar with some friends a couple of years ago, but I still really like it. I think I am going to do an update one next year. I took 2 12x12 papers and tied them together to hang. I glued on 20 envelopes ( that was all we were given and that would fit-- I will get 24 on next time!). Then I made mini cards for the envelopes. I stamped, die cuts, paper, ribbon, glitter all over!

The cards come out each day and hang over the envelope. So the outside is decorated and shows and the inside is still tucked in the envelope.

This is MY advent calendar because the kids do the one we have had since my kids were really little!
Fun and easy!

Christmas Tags

Here are some tags I just whipped up to use as tags on Christmas presents. I used Tim Holtz's Christmas stamps -- from 2 different sets. I got the sets and all supplies from The Scrapbooking Studio.

I made backgrounds using Antique Linen Distress Ink. I used music notes on some and the crackle background on others. I dried that. Then I used Embossing Ink from Tim Holtz and stamped my images on. Next I embossed with silver embossing powder. The red one I used red Archival ink.

They turned out simple but really pretty. I have silver paper this year so that is what inspired me! This one is my favorite. The silver is beautiful in this script!

I also did a wise man, an angel and a Santa. The angel is my absolute favorite. I took a close up picture, but it wouldn't load!! I hate that! I'll try again another day!

Happy Christmas!

Maybe this is my children in another time and place! A blond girl and boy and a  brunette girl and boy! Don't you wish we could still dress our children like this!

I love Christmas Trees!

I have no idea how many trees I have.... 1 real.... many small (4 footers).... 1 6ft.....lots and lots of little tabletop trees! Here is our tree this year..actually the smallest we have ever had. We are having trouble finding a tall enough tree for our 9ft ceilings.

I love it all lit up at night. I usually have only this tree (and all my little trees) on at night-- no actual lights on... and it's still bright enough to take a picture! I love Christmas!

I just made this fun Christmas mini album with some friends at The Scrapbooking Studio on Saturday! Great way to get the season kicked off!

I have my tree up and most my house decorated.... now I just have to clean up some boxes and put away a few more fall decorations!

Now it's shopping and wrapping and cooking and making cards and all that jazz..... (I love it!)
