Oh I love This Tag!

I took the Tag class at The Scrapbooking Studio last weekend with Tammy Tutterow! Wow! it was so much fun and I learned a lot! I was sitting next to my friend Tamara, and we kept saying-- Why didn't I think of that! She just had so many fun twists on so many basic things we already knew!

Loved it! I will share lots, but I had to share my favorite tag-- although it is hard to pick!

I really added a lot more green than everyone else did-- since it is my favorite color!

We "wiped" not painted a white wash of Picket Fence distress paint over the tag. Then we "swiped" Chipped Glass distress stain and alternated with Peeled Paint distress. We dried between layers. Some added more- some added less. I went with more green than blue.

Then we "rolled" a script stamp over the tag. Not stamping-- just adding some background. It was a Hero Arts Stamp, but I think Tammy said they don't make it anymore-- but there are similar ones out there.

Then we embossed the edges. It was a Sizzix- but I'm not sure of the name of the folder. Then we sanded over the embossing to take off some paint and bring out the embossing.

She had some old lace and some new Tim Holtz ribbon which we attached with the tiny attacher. Then we inked some ledger paper and added a word.

We had painted the ornate frame with Picket Fence before we did anything else and let it dry and cool! I sanded it a little and added some Vintage Photo distress. I popped it over the ledger paper and glued the whole thing down.

LOVE IT!

Have a Fun Safe Halloween!

The bewitching hour approaches..............

The hour teachers endure weird costumes, an unbelievable amount of sugar and really hyper kids until the Halloween party is over!!!!!

Fun Album!

I'm making an album for a friend of her son's entire life! I decided to use Teresa Collins' He Said She Said line of paper from The Scrapbooking Studio, It's really turning out cute! Check out the cute moustaches!

I've got a bunch of other pages done, but so far this is my favorite!

I cut out three mustaches and put Glossy Accents on them. Then I popped them up.
Hilarious!

Not only do I love this vintage Halloween picture with the adorable kids in adorable costumes, but it sort of looks like my front porch! The railings are wrong, but the rest is similar! What I love most is the CUTE costumes not gross, scary or weird. Notice the 2 Bo-peeps! Lots of cowboys! I LOVE the king in the knee pants in the front! I can't believe his mom made him wear that! Happy almost Halloween!

Posting new design team projects soon!

Man's Birthday Card

This is a man's birthday card I whipped up the other day!

I used Tim Holtz's paper stash, balloon stamp and ticket stamp. I stamped the balloon on some map paper from the paper stash and then stamped on another piece of paper. I colored the balloon, basket, flag and sandbags. I cut those out inked the edges with Walnut Distress Ink and popped them up on top of the first stamp. I slightly bent the balloon on the "edges" of the balloon (the dark lines) rounding the whole balloon before popping up.

I stamped the ticket on some blue distress paper stash, added the saying and cut out.

Then I glued blue paper on the card as a background. Tore out the map paper and inked the edges. Glued that on the blue paper. I used the Tim Holtz tiny attacher and stapled the ticket on the side.

I added a Tim Holtz Simple Sayings birthday greeting on the inside.

All these supplies can be purchased at The Scrapbooking Studio

Teresa Collins Masquerade Banner

Here is the rest of my October Design Team project. I finally had time to get it done! It took several days to finish too! I really like how it looks. Spooky Halloween-y yet beautiful!

It was really hard to get the picture because it was so long!

Here are some close-ups

I used Teresa Collins embellishments, made embellishments from the paper and some Prima Flowers that I inked. I also used some orange and black tulle ribbon from The Scrapbooking Studio. I put it all on a white banner which I painted black. The banner is also from the store.

I really had fun putting it together! Happy Masquerade!

Horse-y Birthday Card

I needed to make a card for my nieces birthday. She loves horses and I just got the new Tim Holtz Ornate Frame from The Scrapbooking Studio and couldn't wait to try it out! I really like how it turned out!

I die cut the frame and ran it through a xyron. Then I dumped glitter I had (really old glitter-- I think new glitter would have stuck better). I cut the horse head with my Slice machine. I used crate paper (old stash) pink paper - torn- for the back of the horse. I used the yellow paper for the backing on the card. I used Tim Holtz's banner die and cut the pink banner. I inked the edges of everything with Tim Holtz's distress Walnut ink.  I used the Tim Holtz Vintage Market Alphabet die for the name.

I popped up the frame and glued the rest down. Cute! I put a birthday greeting from the Tim Holtz Simple Sayings inside. Done!

You can purchase all these dies at The Scrapbooking Studio downtown Moline!

Teresa Collins Halloween!

Here is the Halloween layout I did for The Scrapbooking Studio. I used all Teresa Collins Masquerade paper and embellishments. All are available at the store. Not only is it beautiful, but it was really fun to work with. There were so many variations to the paper- stripes, chevron, damask, polka dots, ledger paper and more! The embellishments were so cool! I tried to fit as many as I can because I loved them so much! The circle embellishments I fussy cut off one of the papers. Here are some close ups of my layout.
