Kaisercraft Layouts

The Scrapbooking Studio Design Team Layouts for this month
This Kaisercraft Alice in Wonderland themed line of paper was perfect for me to make a layout about my fabulous Great Aunt Alice! This is all Kaisercraft paper- I fussy cut some embellishments from the paper and popped them up. I cut the letters from Tim Holtz's Strip Die Alphabet Set.
Another layout using the paper. The flags and butterflies are stickers from the embellishment sticker sheet. Come to the store so you can see them up close!

Kaisercraft "Note Board"

For The Scrapbooking Studio Design Team, I made this 7 Gypsies Receipt Holder. I made it into a "Noteboard". I used all Kaisercraft paper in the Alice in Wonderland theme, a few flowers, some old pictures and ephemera I had in a stash.

I put paper on for the background, but now you can't see it! :)
I used the edges of the papers to make borders on the edges (which are also hard to see!) I didn't originally plan to add so much, so I was decorating the board which you now can't see!
The "notecards" are all from the Kaisercraft line. All of these things are just "stuck" in under the holders. Not glued- so I can change it.

I also wrapped some black velvet ribbon on the "springy holders".

I really like how it turned out. It would be handy to hang in the kitchen to stick notes on!

KaiserCraft Design Team Cards

Here are the cards I made for The Scrapbooking Studio Design Team. I used Kaisercraft paper. It is an Alice in Wonderland themed paper with lots of beautiful floral paper and awesome embellishments.
I cut the Mad Hatter from a journaling card and popped him up on another journaling card. I used the letters from the sticker sheet that goes with the line to say HEY! I stamped the "missing you" from Tim Holtz's Simple Sayings. Cool huh?

I used the floral paper and punch cut the edge with a border punch. I added the flags and popped up butterfly from the embellishment sheet. I added black enamel dots and the "thank you" stamp from the Simple Sayings set.
I used the floral paper again and used my Corner Chomper to put the Deco edges on the paper and cardstock. I used the Tim Holtz Arch die cut to cut the orange-y paper. I die cut the Tim Holtz Birdcage and used Tim Holtz's Silver Paint to paint the birdcage. I inked the bird with Faded Jeans Distress Ink, Walnut Ink and  Brushed Corduroy. I die cut a banner from the Banner Strip Die and stamped 'life is good" from the Simple Sayings set. I added  red shiny floss to the bird cage and attached everything to the card.

Always and Forever

I made this tag for pure fun, but it would be a good birthday card for a guy or a love note for your hubby.
I started with a #10 tag. I stained with Tim Holtz's Distressed Stains- Antique Linen and Weathered Wood. Then I used Walnut Distressed Ink on the edges.

I glued a little more than half of the clock to the edge of the tag. I attached the clock hands with a brad I banged with a hammer to distress. I stamped Tim Holtz's Simple sayings "always & forever" stamp on the side using Faded Jeans Distress Ink. I had a metal clock hand that I glued under the Weathered Clock and over the edge so it would look like an arrow.

I cut the Tim Holtz Weathered Clock Die from dark brown cardstock. I stamped the Tim Holtz Blueprint clock on the bottom corner of the tag. Next I stamped the clock again on kraft paper two times. Then I embossed the first kraft clock with Black Soot Distress Embossing Powder. The second kraft clock I only cut out the "blueprint" part of the clock that I attached popped up and NOT embossed. Then I added the embossed clock popped up on the first clock.

I added a walnut stained seam binding ribbon. I really like it!

Everything I used I got from The Scrapbooking Studio

Awesome new decoration for my scrap area

I just got this from Kohls. It was quite expensive (I think) but I had Kohls cash, a gift card and a coupon. I paid $2.84. What a deal! It's a "birdcage" to hang on the wall. All those birds are actually magnets. I'm using it to hang tags and art I have finished so I can enjoy them! Isn't it awesome!
I will be posting about a couple of these tags and some other stuff I've done lately soon.

absent

My Grandmother has been quite ill and I have been caring for her-- so I'm a little behind posts. Hope to catch up soon.
