Stealing from Paradise.......

I really liked the speckly pattern I got on this card. So I added a border and decorated the word paradise a little and stopped there.

Lady Liberty and Freedom Tower Graphic 45 Come Away with Me

We went to New York City this summer. We went to the Statue of Liberty on the most beautiful day. I really want this page to accent the statue and look beautiful. I added tulle and a piece of lace.

I tried to make the journal page look like a really well used paper. I rolled the corner and inked it up.

I love how the ornate frame fits around her so beautifully.

I made another page emphasizing the Liberty Tower in the downtown skyline. I really layered up the paper on this page. The stamps are popped up. I also used more chipboard die cuts.

I layered about 4 colors on the word Books and 5 on Magic. Added a border and white accents.

G45 Come Away With Me

These cards turned out really simple, but as I was putting them together I realized the paper is so pretty and made such a statement as they were I didn't want to add too much "stuff". I really like how they turned out.

Dream

Look out world! I made this for a man.....grad card or birthday or whatever!

I made a Tim Holtz pinecone die cut rose on this one. If you don't know how, check out Tim's blog and search for pinecone die cut.

G45 Spellbound Halloween Cards

This paper is SO perfect for cards! These are probably the fastest cards I've ever made! I felt like it was all just sitting there waiting to be cut out!

I cut out the "trading cards" from the paper for the main part of the card. I added background paper, quotes, Tim Holtz Simple Sayings and a Halloween ticket (all stamped and embossed), lace I inked black, chipboard cut outs, die cuts that came with the paper, and a Tim Holtz die cut bat with black glitter. I love them! My favorite part is their names!

G45 Halloween's Past

G45 Spellbound Paper again for The Scrapbooking Studio
I found 3 pictures from Halloween -- a few years ago------ok. A lot of years ago!!

I used the Tim Holtz die cut clock again and used the verdigris embossing powder again. (A friend gave me some leftover, so I have no idea the brand or where it's from. It's probably 10 years old..... or older!) I added random clocks from the G45 chipboard, die cuts and paper.

I made a banner from the die cut flags.

I made a tiny border from the die cut flags. I made a "spellbook" from the "cards" that are in the paper. I cut some out, wrinkled, ripped and inked them up. Then I glued them how I wanted them to look and then "tied" them up with Tim Holtz twine.

He is 80!

My stepdad is 80 this year!
He is a math and physics teacher and I had the Tim Holtz Laboratory paper--perfect!
I used a few pages from a Tim Holtz grungeboard book.

I had fun with the front! I mashed different papers on and then add some gears, initials and 80 from Tim Holtz's letters and numbers, a Tim Holtz found relative (I LOVE this guy! Doesn't look like him, but I love that it IMPLIES it!), made a metal tag with Tim Holtz rub-ons (gear and stars) and an October afternoon flash card and birthday cake.

I had the rocket in a stash. He helped at NASA for a bit with rockets... perfect.
I used the Lucille Ball quote, birthday music and Donkey from October afternoon.

This is my favorite page. I've had these "paper dolls" forever-- no idea where I got them. Has faces, arms and legs and you just add SOMETHING for the body. His name is starts with a D, so I used this D card. I used an October afternoon math flash card and Tim Holtz chat words. I loved the math paper for the background on this page!

I had my son look up stats and birthdays from the year 1935. Added more gears and found relatives from the paper stash.

This back page isn't done. I cut out little labels from Tim Holtz's new labels die cuts. I'm having everyone in my family write a little note on a label and then will glue them on the back.

Fun to make! He doesn't like presents, ( "No more STUFF!") but I think he'll like this. :)

Yep. This is me.

This one didn't turn out to exciting, but I love the quote! I added a border which is hard to see.
I sprayed the tags/ATC with Tattered Angels spray- either apple or sugar plum. I used a sharpie to do the writing and then used Tim Holtz distress markers to decorate and add borders.

I might still add a few stamps. I have some October Afternoon library stamps which would be cute on this, but they are big stamps and not much room, We'll see. If I add some, I'll take another picture!

Green

Isn't she beautiful?
Green is my favorite color!

Spellbound Clock

Here is a clock I made with G45 Spellbound paper for The Scrapbooking Studio
First I covered it in gesso. I kind of lumped it on so it would be textured.

Apparently I forgot to take a picture of the sides when I was done spraying so this is a finished picture and you can see some colors. I randomly sprayed Dyan Reavley's Dyelusions in black and the turquoise color to match the paper. I got a little orange in too, but it's subtle.

I started with this for the back of the clock. Gear paper and cut a large clock piece and popped up two gears on the page.

Then I added a Tim Holtz die cut clock on top of this. I embossed it black. I cut out a skeleton card and wrinkle, ripped and inked it up. I add a quote card and glued it together.

I die cut out Tim Holtz's movers and shaper gears. I embossed them orange, black and a verdigris antique-y (is that a word?) turquoise color that looks old and rusted. I just left them loose to roll around in the clock.

Then I added the Tim Holtz Boo from orange paper which I embossed clear on orange- but rubbed off some of the embossing powder before I heat set it. Then I inked those spots black. It looks really rough. (love it) I added a black Tim Holtz die cut bat.
I also used some of the G45 die cut flags and made a banner across the front. I fussy cut the cat, flowers and gear. I popped up the centers of the flowers by cutting just the centers out of another flower. Then glued those all to the front.

Up close so you can see the inside. You can also see I put Tim Holtz's Glossy Accents on just the cat's eyes so they would "glow".

So much fun!

My New Thing!

I am a teacher by day and love to collect quotes- especially about reading (which is what I teach!)

I decided to make ATC cards and tags with quotes to hang in my room. I hung up a "line with birds on it" (hard to describe-I'll take a picture of it) that is meant to hang pictures and I put the cards on that with mini clothespins.

So I'll be posting some of the cards I made. I wrote the quotes first and then "decorated" so a few left not much room to decorate! I also did them in the car (YES! I craft in the car!) so a few are not my best handwriting! ...darn windy back country roads!

So here is one of my favorites first... I love the quote and I love how it turned out! Really fun!

G45 Come Away With Me Ephemera Album

Oh my. Such beautiful paper!!
I used a Graphic 45 Envelope Album.
I made another Tim Holtz pinecone die cut rose, ornate frame die cut and some leaf die cuts. I cut a postcard from the paper and used chipboard cut outs too.

I stuck some tulle in behind all the postcard.

I then used a theme of tulle in some way on every page. I also used an ornate frame on every page.
More roses, leaves and some velvet ribbon.

The tulle is hard to see on this page. It's just a small piece behind the luggage tag.

I used the tulle to emphasize the chipboard cutout on this page.

It turned out beautifully. One of my favorite albums. Ever.
